About the Show

The pieces in this show are known as dark field monotypes. They are made by completely covering a piece of plexiglass with water-based ink. The image is created by removing and manipulating the ink. The ink then dries, and a piece of damp paper is laid on top and run through a printing press, picking up the ink. One never knows pre- cisely how the image will emerge, which leads to the excitement (and the terror) of printmaking.

All Artwork: $950.00
